Discover the Machinist Training Course That’s Right for You
NTMA provides comprehensive courses designed to prepare students for entry-level to advanced level machinist positions. Our campus, located in Santa Fe Springs, houses state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to give you the hands-on experience necessary to excel in your future career.
Machinist Training
This program provides students with entry-level knowledge of machining techniques and processes. In just 7 months, students will be certified to set up and operate conventional machining equipment, such as grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, saws and CNC machines.
Advanced Machinist Training
After participating in the entry-level training course, students may enroll in our Advanced Training Courses. Become proficient in advanced CNC Operation, Programming (MasterCAM), Inspection, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operation, and our new hybrid CNC/MasterCAM Programming class.
CNC Machining
This introductory class to CNC machining is designed for experienced machinists and machine operators, who need or want to update their skills in CNC operations, setups, and programming.
Inspection Training
This course is designed to instruct students in inspection techniques and use of Coordinate Measuring Equipment. Upon graduation, students qualify for intermediate-level positions in the machining industry.
Scholarship & Financial Aid Opportunities
NTMA provides scholarships and financial aid to remove any barriers that may prohibit students from pursuing their educational goals. Not only will the staff at NTMA help you find a solution, but we will also assist you throughout the entire application process and help you adequately prepare to meet your loan repayment obligations. Depending on eligibility requirements, students have the opportunity to receive funding in the form of:

Enrollment Requirements
Whether you have years of machining experience or none at all, we can help you receive the training you need to meet your career goals. We do, however, require some basic criteria to ensure NTMA is the right fit for you. All applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old
Possess a high school diploma, or the equivalent
Complete our in-house assessment test
Participate in a campus tour
Attend an orientation session
There are certain exceptions for applicants with special circumstances, such as those enrolled in the Ability-to-Benefit program.
