Advanced CNC Machining
MasterCAM is the CAD/CAM system used to teach students to program multiple-part locations and multiple operations per setup; macro and conditional program statements; and advanced canned cycles.
Students are taught to upload and download files to machine stations and other computers. Instruction time is divided equally between classroom, computer lab, and shop, providing an unusual blend of practical theory and hands-on experience. Upon graduation, students are able to perform complex setups in CNC machining, including CAD/CAM operations upon graduation and may find advance-level work in the machining trade.
