Advanced cnc machining
Advanced CNC Machining is offered to students who desire to attain greater proficiency in CNC machining. MasterCam is the CAD/CAM system used to teach students to program multiple-part locations and multiple operations per setup; macro and conditional program statements; and advanced canned cycles. Students are taught to upload and download files to machine stations and other computers. Instruction time is divided equally between classroom, computer lab, and shop, providing an unusual blend of practical theory and hands-on experience. Upon graduation, students are able to perform complex setups in CNC machining, including CAD/CAM operations upon graduation and may find advance-level work in the machining trade.
Classes are available evenings and weekends. Please contact Marcie Correa to find out more.
Candidates must have completed the CNC Machining I course from any Training Centers of Southern California facility, as well as demonstrable proficiency in basic CNC operations and machine setup and programming, and geometry and trigonometry or receive a score of at least 75% on the Advanced CNC Skills admission exam.
All instructors are credentialed or are working toward a credential in Adult Vocational Education. The instructors bring to the classroom and shop many years of practical experience in the machining, tooling and manufacturing industry. Their extensive capabilities and varied backgrounds assure students of receiving the highest caliber instruction possible from the most qualified instructors.
